The Southern California wildfires, exacerbated by "life-threatening and destructive" windstorms, have caused widespread devastation and displacement. As of Thursday, at least six people had lost their lives in the fires, which forced nearly 180,000 people to evacuate their homes and left over 1.5 million without power. Fires erupted in multiple locations across Los Angeles County, including Malibu, the Pacific Palisades, Eaton Canyon, and the Hollywood Hills, prompting widespread evacuations and straining resources.
