She cited recent examples in which Barbados became the target of fake news. Mottley argued that improper AI use often stirs long-existing fears, particularly in weaker societies. She urged CARICOM to establish its own verification mechanisms in the absence of global AI initiatives and to ensure truth and honesty in the Region’s governance.
Mottley commended the historic meeting between CARICOM Heads of Government andublic judges, highlighting the potential for legal independence while acknowledging cross-floor interdependencies. Mottley also praised Jamaica’s proposal for a regional justice and security framework, aligning with international公约s and enhancing community trust.
