When analyzing 100 most viewed TikTok videos addressing ADHD-related symptoms, the study found that less than half of the claims align with clinical guidelines for diagnosing ADHD. Instead, many of these claims were found to be inaccurate or biased. Furthermore, the study revealed that users who consumed more ADHD-related content were more likely to recommend the videos to others, thereby overestimating their potential reach and impact.
