Thailand media conglomerate Nation Group reports cyberattacks | MLex

According to the official statement released on July 28, 2025, Nation Group, the biggest English-language media group in Thailand, reported that it was affected by cyberattacks following the Thai-Cambodian conflict that erupted on July 23. The company claims that an operation led by Cambodian information implicated in the attacks involved the creation of false accounts, the use of bots to disseminate false news, and attempts to target false reports to Meta, triggering takedown requests. Nation Group stated that it activated geo-blocking measures to restrict access to its platforms, which are based on users’ IP addresses and their origin countries. Additionally, Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, in collaboration with Meta, is preparing to limit future cyberattacks.
