Without this unique KDM, the film cannot be accessed or viewed by unauthorized individuals. The CBFC further clarified that the DCP of ‘Jana Nayagan’ was handed over to the applicant (which would be the film’s makers, KVN Productions) in Mumbai on March 17th, with due acknowledgment received. This means that once the film leaves their possession with the KDM remaining with the producers, the responsibility for its security, in terms of theatrical exhibition, largely shifts. This detailed explanation wasn’t just jargon; it was an attempt to educate the public on the layers of security involved, thereby reinforcing the impossibility of a leak originating from their end if their described protocols were indeed followed.
