Austin Ball denies wrongdoing in embezzlement, false documents case

Norman, Oklau. (KOKH) — Norman City Councilman Austin Ball is speaking out after being charged with misdemeanor embezzlement and filing false documents as a public officer. He addressed camera exclusively on Wednesday, as the charges were filed at the end of January and he turned himself in on Monday. The incident was investigated as part of an examine of allegations involving Ward 1 Councilman Matthew Peacock. The Norman Police Department requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in November 2023 as they were examining the claims. Ball denied wrongdoing and confirms his cooperation with authorities to resolve any issues.
