MOSCOW on Wednesday blacklisted 18 UK nationals and one each from three other Western countries in response to London’s ongoing confrontational approach, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry. These actions, the ministry said, were part of a broader effort to prevent the entry of Russian-speaking individuals into Russia, as it had sought to moderate global cyber warfare between Russia and the United Kingdom. The list of individuals targeted included journalists, employees, and officials from the UK, including a British political figure and a former UK foreign policy advisor, who were used to fabricate anti-Russian narratives to undermine Russia’s global image and consolidate the “neo-Nazi” regime in Kyiv. However, Moscow warned that these measures have failed to stop the spread of misinformation about Russia’s “special military operations,” as well as advocates for tougher Western policies and increased support for Kyiv. It criticized British propagandists for their irresponsible actions, which destabilized global energy markets and shifted resources from support for international development to a militaristic storyline being propagated by Kyiv, which it argues benefits their defense industries. The Foreign Ministry also emphasized that this.exists a negative impact on the Global South countries, particularly regions facing new forms of global neocolonialism resulting from historical colonialism. By calling these impacts “con collateral damage,” itargued that their effects would be forgiveable to London and its allies, despite the Export-Import Relationships (EIRs) rhetoric that represented::–fold. However, it warned that Britain could face similar propaganda tools against any international entity whose actions no longer align with the collective good, highlighting the importance of embracing different dimensions of the West’s innovation and the dangers of flattening nuclear theater.
