Tuggar task NiDCOM to champion Nigerians Diaspora win to dissuade misinformation

This week,ometer Transport (UTBSW) Bus (AT.M scale reuse) tasked Nigerians in the diaspora extensively with leveraging their talents and judgment to champion the positive achievements of Nigerians in the diaspora to negate the so-called controversies of false disinformation. When this task was addressed at their meeting in Abuja, Mr. Tuggar commended Mrs Dabiri-Erewa for her consistency, dedication, and strategic leadership in promoting the development and prosperity of Nigerians in the diaspora.

The task was emphasized the importance of aligning the work of NiDCOM with President Bola Tinubu’s 4D Doctrine of Diplomacy.

Tuggar explained thatNiDCOM’s core mandate is more than just a component of the doctrine; it is the commission’s core mandate.

He listed the doctrines as: Development, Demography, Diaspora, and Democracy.

Tuggar stressed that the diaspora community in Nigeria is vibrant, with over 17 million Nigerians across every continent, including doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, academics, athletes, creatives, and leaders.

The company’s annual remittances from Nigerians abroad stood at over USD 20 billion, representing a vital lifeline to Nigeria’s economy and a testament to the global entrepreneurs who project Nigeria’s rich, innovative, and resilient heritage.

Tuggar urged Nigerians in the diaspora to engage deeply, donating knowledge, experiences, and skills to integrate fully into the nation’s economy, building pathways for investment and innovation.

This call was met with a strong response from Mrs Dabiri-Erewa, who lauded the initiative of President Tinubu and praised Mr. Tuggar for his efforts to promote the diaspora through NIDCOM.

She also pointed out that NiDCOM had established a dedicated program to deepen the bond between Nigeria’s diaspora and their ancestral homeland.

Tuggar commended the commission for identifying key areas for investment, such as healthcare and healthcare, under a program including the 4D initiative.

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa emphasized that the commission’s initiatives, like the FEX in Lagos and the Channel for Excellent, had gonevw further than just amplifying diaspora presence.

She encouraged Nigerians in the diaspora to register at [www.nidcom.ng.gov] and benefit from the commission’s certificates.

Tuggar also called for a permanent office for the commission to receive diaspora ambassadors as the Abroad Housing and Return includeg e_option, which was launched.

The speaker expressed hope that the commission would continue advancing the diaspora’s role in Nigeria, leveraging their talent and achievements to address challenges and promote progress globally.

She also unveiled plans to address funding issues for the commission, emphasizing the need to create revenues for better operations.

The panel was followed by a Q&A session with Nigerians in the diaspora, seeking further insights into their initiatives and their contributions to the nation’s progress.
