In Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is addressing the growing issue of misinformation on social media platforms, which he sees as a contributing factor to societal chaos. He emphasizes that fake news is not only spreading information but also causing economic and psychological distress to society. “We need to act decisively to control economic offenses and fake news by reinforcing our cyber security systems,” he states.

Correspondingly, the Central Government has spawned the Cyber Security Conclave, jointly organized by the Cyber Security Bureau, Cyberabad Police, and the Society for Cyberabad Security Council. The aim is to strengthen the state’s cybersecurity framework and ensure it is equipped to handle the growing digital threats. The Chief Minister reassures the smartphone users of the firsthand meeting with police officers and cybersecurity experts, noting their collaboration in addressing cybercrime. The initiative aims to create a future where digital safety is a priority.

Revanth Reddy’s commitment to ensuring that Telangana becomes the leading state in digital security is evident. He states, “The Shield 2025 conclave will be a platform for strategizing and preparing for an SCC that can effectively combat the growing cybercrime trade and disrupt the ever-evolving digital landscape.” This commitment underscores the importance of Director of the Cyber Bureau and the Pakistan!”, Shiveshi, in contributing to such a national effort.

The economic impact of cybercrime on the state is profound, with reports of corruption amounting to over Rs 22,812 crore. Revanth Reddy highlights that this is not just an economic burden but also a significant financial loss to the citizens. He reiterates the need to strengthen the nation’s cybersecurity resources and collaborate with IT experts to develop a robust ecosystem for cybercrime prevention. This initiative will ensure that Telangana remains a safe haven and a central presence in the digital age.

Additionally, Revanth Reddy emphasizes the need for prevention as the top priority over arresting criminals. “Preventing crime should be our top priority over simply arresting criminals after the crime has been committed,” he states. To achieve this, the Chief Minister has launched initiatives to expand infrastructure in the fight against cybercrime. Seven dedicated cybercrime police stations were set up in Telangana last year, aiming to ensure that the state’s security plays a pivotal role in combating the ever-gigging digital threats.

In conclusion, Revanth Reddy’s efforts to combat misinformation and build a stronger cybersecurity infrastructure reflect theilocibertous importance of digital safety on both the state and its citizens. By taking the lead in addressing these critical challenges, the Chief Minister is setting a benchmark for ensuring that tomorrow’s digital inhabitants have the safe space they deserve.
