The National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken significant action against over 165 Telegram channels and 32 Instagram accounts for spreading misinformation about the NEET (UG) 2025 examination. The pre-medical entrance exam is scheduled for Sunday, and the NTA has begun investigations into the false information being spread online. In response, the NTA has cooperating with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and has warned students and guardians to remain vigilant against such rumors.

Around 22.7 lakh students are expected to appear for the exam at 5,453 centers in India and 13 cities abroad, with all safety and logistical arrangements in place to ensure the secure conduct of the exam. The authorities have confirmed that previous mock drills have been completed, with all safety and logistics in place to secure the examination. The meetings with users accused of offering inflated marks or making fraudulent promises are being actively counteracted.

The NTA emphasized that only official communications should be trusted and called upon to spread unfair means, especially under the prevention of unfair means Act ( Food &(layout 2019). The NTA has also warned candidates not to fall for trick groups or individuals offering benefits for money or confidential information, as they may be used for unfair means.

The NTA expressed its commitment to a fair, safe, and transparent examination process. The document is available on the official website of the NTA (https://natural TestingAgency.in). The case will likely be headlined in the near future.
