The External Affairs Ministry informed the public that the execution of Nimisha Priya, the Indian national and nurse from Kerala, in Yemen had been postponed. The notification was shared with the general public, emphasizing the need to avoid misinformation and wait for further clarification once an official decision is made. Highlights of the incident come from a weekly update session led by the Ministry of External Affairs, where MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized the need for international diplomacy.

The execution, initially planned for Sunday, July 16, was postponed due to diplomatic ties, international surveillance, and-neutral intervention by foreign governments. Jaiswal highlighted the importance of contacting friendly governments on the issue, while also issuing firm warnings against false reports and improper press releases. The Indian government has been actively supportive of Nimisha Priya’s rights, including her family’s efforts to secure a fair outcome through legal bridge단 sacrificing aid and diplomatic negotiations.
