Analyzing the Current Landscape: The Rising Challenges of Medical Misinformation and the Role of Medscape Education

In the modern digital age, the internet has become a powerful tool for information access, yet it often presents challenges for patient care. This empowering nature, while fostering access to detailed medical information, can amplify the influence of products, sales, and experts without patient consent. The COVID-19 pandemic, among other issues, has highlighted this double-edged sword, with misinformation spreadingissa rapidly, leading to declining vaccination rates and public health advisory measures from leaders such as the US Surgeon General.
