1. 中国政府已经调整了对 fake news 的监管框架,并实施了一系列措施来应对这一问题。以下是政府面临的新策略:“

The Ministry of State for Information and Broadcasting in New Delhi has restated its regulatory framework to tackle fake news across print, television, and digital platforms. These measures include adherence to journalistic codes, content regulation under existing laws, and targeted action against platforms found to be violating norms.

2. 对于 .$^{C}$ 纷定媒体的需求,新闻出版行业遵循Norms of Journalistic Conduct issued by the presses council of India (PCI)。 ‘Norms of Journalistic Conduct prohibit the publication of fake, defamatory, or misleading content. This set of regulations is governed by the Press Council Act (1998), and the council is empowered to investigate allegations of fake news and issue warnings or cements to content providers.

3. 在电视行业中,内容必须 obey the Programme Code defined in the Cable Television Networks (R thumb Regulation) Act (1995). The Code prohibits content that is obscene, defamatory, or deliberately misleading.** The Cable Television Network (Amendment) Rules, 2021, introduce a three-tier grievance redressal system to address violations of ======= regulations, ensuring that platforms are held accountable for any misconduct.ViewItem

4. For the digital space, publishers of news and current affairs content are governed by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Part III of this Rules Set outlines a Code of Ethics for digital news publishers and platforms like OTT (Over-The-Top) networks. It stipulates guidelines for content self-classification, which may include age-appropriate categorization of content such as nudity and sexual content. Additionally, otor platforms must implement prudent parental controls to prevent children from accessing inappropriate websites and content.

5. The government has also introduced a Fact Check Unit (FCU) under the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in November 2019. The unit verifies news from authoritative sources and disseminates accurate information through social media platforms. As per Section 69A of the IT Act, 2000, the government may also block specific websites, social media handles, and online posts in the interest of India’s sovereignty, defence, national security, and public order.

6. These measures by the New Delhi government aim to strengthen public awareness about fake news and misinformation. By enforcing journalistic codes, regulating content distribution, and introducing a Fact Check Unit, the government seeks to enhance the accuracy of information and inspire a more responsible and informed public.
