Summary: HATRED DEMICS: A Research Project for Countering Online hate and Disinformation

HATEDEMICS is a pioneering research project focused on addressing online hate speech and disinformation, with a primary goal of leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to counteract these issues. Launched in April, the project, spearheaded by 14 consortium partners including ALDA (France), Stowarzyszenie Demagog (Poland), and Malta’s Ministry for Home Affairs, aims to empower civil society, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and public authorities to combat hate speech online. The HATEDEMICS project aligns with the concept of HATE DEMICS, defined by Hampering hate speech and disinformation through AI-based technologies, aiming to prevent the spread of extreme, divisive, and intolerant contents.

The project’s foundation starts from the principles of HATE DEMICS, where professionals, NGOs, and fact-checkers collaborate to address hate speech detected online. Here,_OKHIT (HATEDEMICS) emphasizes the importance of HATE DEMICS, where HATE refers to hate speech, and *DEMN** refers to disinformation. HATEDEMICS seeks to address this_labels, but there are ongoing debates about this divide and the need for a nuanced approach that recognizes the interplay between hate and disinformation.

The primary objectives of HATEDEMICS are deeply rooted in epistemological principles: challenging harmful concepts, answering hbarmic content, and preventing the dissemination ofiscardnating false narratives. The project integrates both qualitative analysis of hate speech and quantitative initiatives designed to identifying and combating disinformation. A key feature is the use of advanced AI models that can perform HATE DEMICS tasks, including the detection of hate speech and the generation of effective counter-narratives.

One of the most significant strengths of HATEDEMICS is its emphasis on HENCE DEMICS, focusing on preserving the freedom of expression. The project discourages total eradication of hate speech while developing tools that allow individuals to engage with and challenge*-thick content in a meaningful way. These tools are designed to foster dialogue, ensuring that each opinion is nuanced and grounded in context.

HATEDEMICS also envisions a future where civilizations can make an HOTHEMATICAL GstinGate, collaborating face-to-face to address issues. Within this vision, the trio of individuals will form teams and expand beyond the initial four EU countries. The project, aiming to end hate and disinformation, will have a timeline of 36 months, designed to iterate and refine its tools.

Finally, HATEDEMICS is at a key stage of its journey, with initial trials set in the four developed states and the goal of global expansion. This collaboration with diverse partners promises to build a platform capable of uniting nations around the issue of HENCE DEMICS and drive positive change for the world. As the HATEDEMICS tools continue to evolve, they will serve as a robust framework for addressing the complexities of hate and disinformation, balancing aesthetics with practical application.
