eYou surpasses 75,000 users six weeks after launch, opens its platform to Bluesky’s 44 million users

In a digital landscape often dominated by noise, polarization, and endless scrolling, a new European-grown social platform called eYou is carving out a refreshing space for something different. Since its public launch just six weeks ago, the platform has hit an impressive milestone, welcoming over 75,000 registered users. Unlike the typical giants of Silicon Valley that rely on aggressive marketing or paid influencer campaigns, eYou’s growth has been entirely organic—fueled by word-of-mouth and a genuine hunger among users for better, more responsible online interactions.

At the heart of this growth is a philosophy focused on trust, accountability, and the active fight against misinformation. The creators, Co-Founders Grégoire Vigroux and CEO Jasseem Allybokus, realized that they weren’t just building another app; they were building a community. They believe the future of social media belongs to platforms that prioritize human connection over algorithmic manipulation. The response so far proves them right: with nearly half of their user base remaining active every month and the average person returning to the app nearly eight times a day, it’s clear that people crave a social experience that feels intentional rather than addictive.

A significant hurdle for any new social network is the “digital baggage” we carry—the fear of having to rebuild our profiles, follower lists, and online identities from scratch every time we try something new. To solve this, eYou has made a bold, forward-thinking move by integrating support for AT Protocol identities. This allows users who already have an account on the Bluesky ecosystem—which now connects a staggering 44 million people—to sign into eYou seamlessly. By allowing users to bring their digital identity with them, eYou is championing a new era of interoperability, proving that a platform can be open to the wider web while still maintaining its unique character.

However, it is important to note how eYou handles this connection. While they adopt the AT Protocol as an “identity layer” to make onboarding easier, they remain firm on their commitment to safety and European regulatory standards. Unlike purely decentralized networks where content might be scattered or difficult to moderate, every post made on eYou is hosted and managed within their own secure infrastructure. This deliberate hybrid approach gives users the convenience of a modern, portable identity while ensuring that the platform remains accountable for content moderation, data protection, and adherence to European governance.

The geographic reach of the platform is also telling, with deep pockets of engagement spanning the United Kingdom, Germany, Romania, and France. These users are logging in for an average of 45 minutes a day, not because of a fleeting viral trend, but because they are finding the kind of constructive, meaningful dialogue that has become increasingly rare on larger platforms. For the eYou team, this high level of daily retention serves as the ultimate validation: users aren’t just visiting the app, they’re choosing to stay and participate.

As eYou looks toward the future, the message is clear: technology should serve the user, not the other way around. By stripping away the pressure of corporate-driven growth and focusing on the human desire for transparent, truthful communities, the platform is proving that there is a viable alternative to the status quo. In a world where we are often treated as data points, eYou is positioning itself as a place where the quality of the conversation matters, and where responsibility is treated as a feature, not a burden. It is off to a fast start, but for those behind the project, the primary goal remains as humble as it is ambitious: to restore a sense of trust to our online lives.
