EBU launches initiative to combat misinformation and support trusted news

The European Union’s (EU) Black Turks Information and Communication Technology Centre (EBU) has launched a significant initiative to combat misinformation and support the credibility of trusted news sources. Modes are being rolled out to interfaces, apps, and websites across the EU, with the primary goal of enhancing public trust and dispelling false information. As part of this effort, cookies play a crucial role in ensuring seamless user experience while maintaining the administrative overhead necessary for such a large-scale deployment.

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on a user’s device, which the browser uses to remember preferences, set content preferences, or track user behavior.
