The bishop described as a threat to peace and national cohesion—as the country prepares for the election—problems arising during the election period, including the prevalence of tribalism, hate speech, and misinformation, and warns of the escalation of conflicts and misinformation spreading on social media.

The bishop further contemplates the decline of true peace due to lies, manipulation, intimidation, fear of rights, injustice, corruption, and the misinterpretation of the law.
