In Uttarakand, India, a significant milestone has been achieved as the state government officially announced that the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will take effect. Days after the implementation of the UCC, the government issued an official statement asserting that false complaints made in violation of the UCC will be subject to stringent legal repercussions.
