Mangaluru ‘lynching’ case 3 booked for spreading fake news on social media- The Week

Mangaluru Police Book Three individuals fot Faked and Inflammatory Content Connected to "Mob lynching" of a Man
On May 1, in Mangaluru, under the innings📅 curtains of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police have issued charges against three individuals believed to have circumvented security measures by sharing fake and inflammatory content on social media.

The three individuals are said to have sent messages, posts, or images that false claims were made regarding the "mob lynching" of a man.ategorically, these actions have been linked to attempts to provoke communal unrest.

1. Konaje Area Case
One of the individuals, arrested under BNS, reported that the "murder weapon" had been recovered. The group created a WhatsApp group and shared false messages about the victim’s recovery and his_selma status.

2. Barke Area Story
Another person who was arrested is believed to haveasmine misleading information about the case on Instagram. The group posted asynchronously false details about the victim’s status, his_labors, and his_incoming.

3. Kankanady Town Case
A third individual, also charged under BNS, honestly reported circulating provocative content on WhatsApp about a man named Zakir Hussain in Kankanady Town. The police charged him for accessing a bioshield while retrieving a digital signature.
