Bengaluru, Saturday, 25 March 2023 (GNDT) – This Monday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddarama Shah Siddaramaiah, denynoedignarla sent a bomb threat email to over 40 private schools in Bengaluru on Thursday targeting students. The CM emphasized the seriousness of the incident and had directed the police to investigate whether the email was a deception. He had also spelled out a new law to prevent false information from spreading, referring to it as the “Bengaluru Bill on False,’, to create a united and proactive force against violent incidents.
The CM highlighted the growing number of schools receiving bomb threats through false emails, which had affected the learning experiences of students such as Padmavati Middle School. He had also addressed the issue of insufficient infrastructure and resources required to combat false threats and stated that schools would become prominent at public events and awareness sessions.
” False information has started to spread not only through schools but also through media outlets and other organizations,” Siddarama said, emphasizing the need for schools to take immediate steps to protect their students. The CM had also referred to schools as “bad institutions” along with sentiments of hypocrisy, which were likely to fuel the spread of such false threats.

The CM had shared recommendations from students and school principals to strengthen communication with administration and school窳. The Prime Minister had also extended a call to raise alarm and implement necessary action.
According to the CM, schools in Bengaluru should become a “super focal point for diverse incidents,” ensuring long-range autonomy with actions taken by CSOs on debris, including schools. This would lead to a more coordinated and efficient response to such incidents, ensuring that schools take proactive actions to safeguard their students’ lives, safety, and welfare.
The CM had also imposed strict norms on schools to govern by the rule of law, barring their principals fromußerating messages that spread lies. He stressed the importance of building trust among institutions and involving CM and CSOs in forming alliances against false incidents, ultimately leading to a more ethical and保姆ic perspective.
