Deceased Sulli’s older brother, after false claims of Kim Soo-hyun’s underage dating, says, “Once they come crawling out again, it’s round two.” [Star Issue]

It’s a deeply troubling and complex situation unfolding, with Sulli’s older brother, let’s call him Mr. A for now, continuing to stir the pot, seemingly targeting actor Kim Soo-hyun. This isn’t just a simple online spat; it carries a heavy emotional weight, particularly given the tragic passing of Sulli. It’s like watching a raw and painful family drama play out in the public eye, fueled by old wounds and unanswered questions, with an unexpected twist involving another deceased individual.

Mr. A recently took to his social media, posting rather cryptically, “Once they come crawling out again, it’s round two. The choice is yours.” While he didn’t name names, the widespread interpretation, and indeed, the context of past interactions, points directly at Kim Soo-hyun. It’s almost as if Mr. A is daring Kim Soo-hyun to return to the public sphere, evoking a sense of impending conflict. When confronted by a commenter who suggested his claims were false, Mr. A curtly shot back, “It is not false,” solidifying his stance and drawing even more attention to this ongoing saga. The public is left wondering what “round two” entails, and why Kim Soo-hyun is seemingly in Mr. A’s crosshairs once again.

This renewed focus on Kim Soo-hyun comes amidst a separate, yet interconnected, controversy that has thankfully been resolved in his favor. There were swirling allegations, amplified by a research institute called Garoseoro, claiming an underage relationship between Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron. This was a particularly nasty rumor, as it dredged up the past of another deceased individual and directly attacked Kim Soo-hyun’s character. However, law enforcement, after a thorough investigation, stepped in to set the record straight. They conclusively determined that these claims were utterly false. The police found no evidence of any romantic involvement between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron when she was underage. More importantly, they unequivocally stated that Kim Soo-hyun had absolutely no role in the tragic circumstances surrounding Kim Sae-ron’s passing. In a shocking twist, the police revealed that Kim Sae-ron’s family, fully aware of the truth, had repeatedly disseminated these false facts with the deliberate intention of slandering and damaging Kim Soo-hyun’s reputation. It’s a chilling revelation, highlighting how easily false narratives can be constructed and perpetuated, and how devastating their impact can be on an individual.

It’s against this backdrop of Kim Soo-hyun’s recent exoneration from one false accusation that Mr. A’s latest remarks are perceived as a calculated move, timed perhaps to coincide with Kim Soo-hyun’s potential re-emergence into the public eye. Mr. A has, regrettably, developed a pattern of targeting Kim Soo-hyun through various online platforms. This isn’t a new development; it’s a persistent campaign rooted in a past controversy surrounding the movie “Real.”

During the filming of “Real,” a movie starring Kim Soo-hyun, Sulli’s family, including Mr. A, raised serious concerns and accusations against Kim Soo-hyun’s team. They specifically questioned the circumstances surrounding Sulli’s participation in sensitive bed and nude scenes. Their grievances were laid out with distressing clarity, encompassing several key points that painted a picture of coercion and exploitation. Firstly, they alleged that the bed scene between Sulli and Kim Soo-hyun, particularly its explicit nature, was not adequately detailed in the original script. This suggests a lack of transparency or a deviation from what was initially agreed upon, leaving Sulli potentially blindsided. Secondly, and perhaps most disturbing, was the accusation that despite the presence of a stunt double specifically for Sulli’s nude scenes, she was allegedly “persuaded and forced” to perform these deeply personal and vulnerable acts herself. This raises serious questions about the power dynamics on set and whether Sulli’s autonomy was respected. Thirdly, the family challenged the explanation provided by the production team. They claimed that the stunt double could not come to set due to illness on the day these scenes were filmed. However, the family insisted that the stunt double was, in fact, present on set, directly contradicting the official narrative and implying a deliberate misrepresentation of the facts.

Kim Soo-hyun’s side, in response to these harrowing allegations, has provided their own account, attempting to clarify and refute the claims made by Sulli’s family. Regarding the fundamental issue of Sulli’s involvement in the bed scenes, they stated that “the actor participated in the filming with prior knowledge of the scene.” This implies that Sulli was aware of the scene’s content and agreed to it beforehand, perhaps aiming to counter the “lack of detail” accusation. Furthermore, addressing the critical point about the alleged forcing of Sulli despite a stand-in, Kim Soo-hyun’s team clarified the role of the “stunt double” in question. They explained that there was a “standing actor” on set, whose purpose was not to perform acting on behalf of the main actor, but rather to “assist with the actor’s movements during the preparation phase.” This distinction is crucial; it suggests that the “standing actor” was more of a technical assistant than a replacement performer for Sulli’s sensitive scenes. As evidence to support their narrative, they have previously presented fact-checking documents directly from key production personnel: Kim Joong-ok, the second assistant director of “Real,” and Lee Jun-hyun, the scriptwriter. These documents, they argue, corroborate their version of events and aim to dispel the accusations of coercion and misrepresentation. This ongoing back-and-forth, with deeply personal accusations and detailed rebuttals, underscores the profound pain and complexity that continue to surround Sulli’s memory and the legacies of those involved in her life and career.
