BYD sues 37 influencers over online defamation – Car News

BYD, the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has taken a strong stance against misinformation and online defamation in its official statement released on its WeChat channel. The company’s legal team has announced a significant move by blatantuously opposing 37 influencer accounts accused of spreading false claims and spreading harmful content online. Specifically, the company has also placed another 126 influencers under internal monitoring, where they are believed to share damaging or misleading content. The initiative aims to combat defamatory material and disrupt online Reputation management frameworks, according to the statement.

The company’s legal strategy reflects its unwavering commitment to protecting against defamatory content and truthful media coverage. The company’s internal monitoring system, which includes 37 influencer accounts, serves as a tool to safeguard its reputation while addressing illegal activities. BYD’s latest legal actions in Brazil further highlight its commitment to combating defamatory material.
