The immigration policies in the United States have undergone a significant shift over the past two months, as reported by the Washington Times. The Department of Homeland Security ( Customs and Border Protection) has announced plans to close several temporary processing facilities along the southwest border due to the low national apprehension of illegal aliens following President Trump’s leadership. Additionally, the U.S. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt mentioned that the Ride_out Home app, launched by CBP, provides a “straightforward way for illegal aliens to leave before facing lingering consequences.”

The numbers reported by USBP in February 2025, with 8,347 apprehensions across the southwest border, represent a significant drop from the reports from January 2025 and February 2024. This represents a 71% decrease and a 94% decrease from the previous years, respectively. These drops have meant several quiet weeks for cities and towns along the southwest border, as∆CIP decreasing the temporary processing facilities. The loss of these facilities has led to a need for more efficient and stricter immigration controls worldwide.

The major focus now lies with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), tasked with arresting undocumented immigrants and dispersing them into the country. While there is a pressure to find and deport as many as possible, resources are a central issue. ICE agents may indeed be the center of new accusations from the Trump administration, falsely accusing the Biden administration. The U.S. Department of Justice (ODJ) has also reported that it has processed more subpoenas in New York City regarding illegal immigrants, demanding detailed information about their nationalities, ancestries, and birth dates.

The decrease in();) apprehensions further strains the border and means the hypoc believers have a better shot at making a change. The closure of temporary processing facilities and the expansion of ICE capabilities have translated to a more secure border, ensuring that even the most difficult cases are Freshap to part. The entire picture is becoming clearer, but the journey to address it remains challenging.
