Bollywood Rapper Badshah Denies Wrong-Side Driving Allegations, Disputes Gurugram Traffic Police Fine

Gurugram, Haryana – A controversy has erupted involving prominent Bollywood rapper Badshah, following allegations of a traffic violation in Gurugram. The Gurugram Traffic Police issued a fine against a vehicle reportedly carrying Badshah for driving on the wrong side of the road. Badshah’s team vehemently denies the accusations, asserting that the rapper was merely a passenger and that none of the vehicles in his convoy committed the alleged infraction. The incident, occurring on December 15, 2024, after Badshah attended a concert by Punjabi singer Karan Aujla at Airia Mall in Sector 68, has sparked a public debate.

The Gurugram Traffic Police, led by DCP Traffic Virendra Vij, confirmed issuing a fine of Rs 15,500 for wrong-side driving involving a vehicle associated with Badshah. While acknowledging that the car in question was not registered in Badshah’s name, DCP Vij stated that the rapper was indeed present in the vehicle at the time of the alleged violation. The police are reportedly reviewing CCTV footage to identify other vehicles that may have been part of Badshah’s convoy.

Badshah’s team released an official statement categorically denying any wrongdoing. The statement emphasizes that Badshah was a passenger in a white Toyota Vellfire (Registration Number HR 55 AU 3333) provided by Bakshi Transport Service Private Limited and driven by a licensed professional driver. They maintain that Badshah was not operating any vehicle during the alleged incident. The team further provided details of their transportation arrangements, stating that their convoy included the Vellfire and three additional Toyota Innova Crystas to ensure safe and efficient transport for their entire team.

The statement also challenges the police’s assertion, claiming that no fines were issued to any vehicles associated with Badshah or his team that evening. This direct contradiction of the police’s account has further fueled the controversy, raising questions about the accuracy and clarity of the information surrounding the incident. The conflicting statements from both sides have created confusion and amplified public interest in the case.

The incident raises several key questions that remain unanswered. Was there a misidentification of the vehicle involved in the violation? Did the police mistakenly attribute the infraction to Badshah’s vehicle while another car in the vicinity was actually responsible? Is there a misunderstanding regarding the issuing of the fine, with Badshah’s team unaware of any penalties being levied? These questions highlight the importance of a thorough investigation to clarify the events and determine the truth.

The conflicting narrative between the police and Badshah’s team underscores the need for transparent and verifiable evidence. The CCTV footage being reviewed by the police will likely play a crucial role in resolving the dispute. Further investigation, including interviews with witnesses and examination of traffic camera recordings, is essential to establish the sequence of events and determine accountability. The outcome of this investigation will be highly anticipated by both Badshah’s fans and the public, eager for a definitive resolution to this contentious matter. This incident also brings to light the challenges of celebrity involvement in traffic violations, often attracting significant media attention and public scrutiny.
