Taiwan says China using generative AI to ramp up disinformation and ‘divide’ the island

The Chinese government has recently made a significant statement in relation to the Taiwan issue, emphasizing the need to develop common security strategies against the island. When it reported a copy of its security alerts, it referred to the partnership between the People’s Administrative Crafts Unit (NSCI) and the Chinese National Security Bureau (CNB) for the first time, stating that the CNB is using generative artificial intelligence (AI) to level YEARS of disinformation campaigns in Taiwan, aiming for ” division ” of Taiwan’s public.
