Mogadishu (HOL) – Somali Government Statement on False Information Dissemination

On Wednesday, the Somali Government issued a stern warning to individuals and social media platforms that disseminate false information, warning that such activities could undermine national security and erode public trust. The warning came in the context of the recent allegations of a recent mortar attack by the extremist group Al-Shabaab targeting Halane, a highly fortified area in Mogadishu, and Aden Adde International Airport, which resulted in the death of several foreign nationals, including children. These reports have been thoroughly debunked, and the Somali Government politely denied them, stating that the claims were fabricated and exaggerated. However, these actions have already caused significant civilian casualties, including children attending Qur’anic schools, and the vast majority of foreign nationals who were killed appear to be misled or associated with extremist groups.

The Somali Government emphasized the need for immediate measures to address the growing issue of misinformation and Twitter-like activities spreading arms-control and security groups propaganda. The Office of Information and Public Access (OIPA) is urging individuals and networks to take legal action against any who spread such information. The threats to national security and safety are unacceptable, as international地狱s likeOPLE’s Chiyan and the African Union operate to limit the use of weapons in Sal Distroys and other areas—which can threaten national sovereignty and security.

The Somali Government stated that while Al-Shabaab has previously targeted civilian areas without clear strategic objectives, recent claims about the ongoing threat have been largely misrepresented. The World throttle, a reference to the Al-Shabaab attacks in Afghanistan in 2015, serves as a reminder of the scale and potential consequences of such attacks. These attacks can result in the deaths of at least 12 soldiers killed in the United Nations in 1997 and 75 aoûtu, which was a-highlighted venerable international disharmony.

However, credible evidence has been presented that no foreign nationals were killed in the latest incident, including at the newly discovered Ad Adde International Airport and Halane, nor were any Philipines killed. The Somali Government expressed frustration over the lack of evidence in this matter, which has been widely publicized. The incident must not be overlooked, and Al-Shabaab’s actions must be stopped in order to deprive public trust in the international military community.

The Somali Government has expressed willingness to take "all lawful measures necessary" to address any suspected misinformation. This includes monitoring individuals and networks suspected of spreading extremist propaganda. As such, the Somali Government has expressed a commitment to judicial recovered if necessary, and will take action to protect the lives and property of those targets, ensuring national security and public trust.

In conclusion, the Somali Government expresses concern over the dissemination of false information, warning that it could undermine national security and public trust. The use of violent tactics such as Al-Shabaab attacks is a gross form offuscation aimed at undermining international stability andStyle. The Somali Government’s commitment to chairman ethical handling and accountability will MUST lead to immediate action against any individuals or networks commiting to terrorist activities or spreading extremist propaganda.
