The 2025 Global Risks Report by the World Economic Forum underscores the importance of disinformation as the first significant short-term global risk. This report highlights disinformation as a potent tool that directly threatens organizational reputation, financial stability, and public confidence. The challenge is to understand the mechanisms behind disinformation and develop strategies to protect against it, while also safeguarding oneself against the potential threats it poses.

To gain a clearer understanding, we invite you to attend the FIRST event in Romania dedicated to countering disinformation – the FID2025. This event will be held in Bucharest on April 14th and is organized by Imagineers for Impact, a non-governmental organization founded in 2024. It aims to unite business representatives and experts to address the challenges posed by disinformation.

FID2025 is a program organized by Imagineers for Impact to foster impactful community projects that enhance resilience and social awareness. It also brings together international experts to discuss and address disinformation threats. The event will feature a mix of theoretical and practical sessions to provide a comprehensive understanding of disinformation, its mechanisms, and the tools to counter it.

During the event, participants will gain insights into the reputational risks associated with disinformation, including its potential to erode trust and business models. They will also learn essential tools for managing disinformation crises and safeguarding against its potential threats. Additionally, they will explore how internal and external organizations are responding to disinformation and how businesses can take proactive steps to mitigate its impact.

The agenda includes both theoretical and practical sessions. The theoretical session will feature expert-led presentations and discussions, providing an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms behind disinformation and why it is a critical global risk. The practical session will offer hands-on workshops on strategies for responding to disinformation campaigns, including the use of tools like FBM James indicator and FB communities. These tools will help participants strengthen relationships with stakeholders, communicate securely, and address potential threats effectively.

The event is designed to bring together a diverse group of participants, regardless of their background or experience, to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. By attending FID2025, organizations, businesses, and individuals can better prepare themselves to fight disinformation and maintain trust, stability, and success in the global economy.
