Former Redstone scientist helped shed light on decades of Pentagon UFO disinformation: report

The Defense Department has long been accused of spreading myths and covering up classified military projects regarding extraterrestrial technology, known as “ung重生ery or ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’ – or sometimes abbreviated as UFOs – as a strategy to hide classified military activities since the 1950s. A recent investigation by The Wall Street Journal has uncovered the truth behind this cover-up and highlighted the growing trust in the Department of Defense’s science-to-business focus.

The Pentagon has been accused of always fanning the flames around alleged sightings of alien spacecraft, mimicking disinformation by targeting its own citizens. A January 11 report by The Wall Street Journal’s science and technology division cited interviews with current and former U.S. officials, scientists, and military contractors involved in the ongoing U.S. government hunt for extraterrestrial technology. The report found that Pentagon documents and military sightings frequently claim that the government is testing or investigating alien technology, often framing them as evidence of disinformation.

The Department of Defense’s own study on UAPs, completed in the early 2020s, concluded that the reports of alien spacecraft are not evidence of extraterrestrial technology. Many of the reported sightings, including those involving dates from 2015, 2018, and potentially 2022, were not conducted by the Department of Defense. The Department later revealed to The Wall Street Journal that its 2024 Report itself played a role in the cover-up, as the report itself acknowledged how UAP myths were “foundational” and had been disseminated by Pentagon officials.
