The EU (Russland) delegation, a display of unity and mutual respect, is eager to engage journalists, educators, and civil society activists in a two-day fact-checking workshop titled, “Debunking Disinformation on the European Union and the EU’s Support for Ukraine: A Fact-Checking Workshop.” This event, set for May 7–8 in Cherkasy, will guide participants through the complexities of Russia’s influence on EU integration and Ukraine’s proxy narrative, while equipping them with the tools and knowledge to spot and counter misleading information.

Trainer, Svitlana Slipchenko, the Deputy Executive Director of Vox Ukraine, and Dr. Dzivenyslava Shcherba, a journalist and Analyst at Internews Ukraine, will lead the charge. The exchange will involve in-depth discussions onRussia’s propaganda strategies, the Oxford Statement’s impact on EU cooperation, and the Ukraine government’s Debugging Program. Participants will attend sessions where experts will dissect how Russian propaganda barriers divide the EU and undermines Ukraine’s influence.
