Book donation drive aims to promote literacy, curb disinformation

After the donation drive, which took three months to complete, SM Urdaneta Small Mall facilitated 13,000 drop-offs, with acceptance rates averaging 89%. The process included over 200 homes and pages across PSR 44 to PSR 12,400, emphasizing the organization’s extensive reach. Books accepted included fiction and non-fiction titles, children’s literature, academic texts, and even magazines and comics, all complying with modern book standards.

The initiative’s impact is evident in the achievements of educational equality. By empowering young readers, SM Book Nook has not only lived up to its mission of improving literacy but also reduced educational disparities, ensuring access for all children in the region.
