It elaborated that Musk’s engagement—especially when sharing or commenting on misinformation—seems to confer legitimacy to false narratives, which can have dire consequences during critical events such as elections. The bot indicated that, particularly since Musk’s takeover, there have been notable changes in content moderation and an increase in misinformation penetration.
Grok acknowledged that defining “misinformation” can be subjective and indicated that the misinformation ecosystem on X is multifaceted and extends beyond the actions of individual users.
